Costs and Creating Your Plan

     My fee structures are easy to understand.  Either a fixed sum for the entire project or, alternatively, a fixed cost per square foot of the home.  For the second option, multiply the square footage of the home by my cost per square foot to equal my fee.  The beauty of this system is that as your house square footage changes thru design, my cost per square foot stays the same.  This means you always pay the same cost per square foot while allowing my final fee to adjust to the final square footage of your home.

     The cost of a Premier Plan or Basic Plan is also based on the heated square footage of the home. That rate is a one-time charge of .30 cents per foot. For that you will receive one full set of working drawings (no changes) ready to be updated for your particular location by a structural engineer.

     Let’s talk plans.  My drawing system is easy to understand.  It is in two phases, design and drafting.  The design phase is a mixture of your input, my expertise, and some changes.  As many changes as needed to fit your style and budget, at no additional charge.  This creates the floor plan and outside look of your home that you can afford.  When your concerns are answered and a “go” is given to the design phase, your plans are ready to proceed to the next phase, the drafting phase.  Within the drafting phase, I create the plans to construct your new home.  These are the drawings, details and notes the builder will use to build your project.  When the plans are done you will receive a package ready to submit for building, feeling comfortable, reassured and confident.
